the 1kg pill

Ok, now don’t press the photo YET ! let me tell you about this miracle pill. It is amazing…. you can take 1 pill a day for 5 days and you loose a KG a day. Cos the jasmine is about to flower
Cos my dogs are trying to mate ( and they are girls!)
I sweat at gym
I switched the underfloor heating down and I am still warm.
The birds are twittering loudlly ( maybe they wanna mate too)
I really want to eat the salad at lunch time.
I get this feeling when spring is springing…. I am saying no more.

Well whatever it is I think it’s on it’s way. If you have had the highs of summer you should be seeing the leaves a-turning round about now and I am sorry for you. But you’ve had your turn and it’s ours now

So dogs, spring may have sprung, but let’s not jump the gun yet….

the visitors have arrived

it must be weekend. Don’t you think this looks like the school playground? Running red rovers !

well it went like this the whole afternoon….. and I clicked away very happy to just add to my depleted image store.

and they ran and ran ( well erm SOME of them) Visitor #2 isn’t that into the physical exertion. Every now and then there is a burst of brown and white and you know she changed her mind.

Visitor #1 is a special needs dog. He needs attention from everyone but he has the weirdest way of D-E-M-A-N-D-I-N-G attention. He bullies everyone. and he really can’t help it. He doesn’t really want to, it just happens.

Jordan succumbs to his needs and runs and jumps and growls and bites up until she says NOPE no more. That can happen oh round about 42 secs after the beginning. So today when they ran and jumped and rolled around and swam, it was very funny when Jordan changed her mind and #1 went right up her butt. very, very, very funny

And where is KIA ? WAITNG …… could have guessed. Right in front of me… tennis ball at my feet . Man she has focus.

Oh well, another weekend looms.

So the sun got up today

YES it was behind a few clouds but man it’s spectacular when it shines through.

files all sorted … delivered to client and everyone is HAPPY – especially me. Phew. Now I can get on with the sun getting up tomorrow.

Today is the day

I am facing this past 2 weeks flat on. I am going tot he recovery room company to see what they got off my camera card. If it’s nothing it’s nothing…. then I move on.

I have worked out through this ( besides the fact that I am STUPID to have thought it won’t happen to me) that I am pathetically controlling and OCD. How can this make you physically ill. Like ULCER ill. Like the end of the world has come ill. So many more tragic things happen in the world, seriously.

Now please don’t get me wrong here. I am not even on about my own photo’s and kits that I lost. I feel this ill cos I can’t let my client of the festival down. I NEED to get those photos to her. I physically have to …

So today is the day and as in the old ZULU saying:
the sun will go down later, but it will get up tomorrow. ( love it)

so I have a on my face for now, cos today is the day.

So the lips didn’t really work

I know my blog is not very old and all, but I said to Ian, hey did you see my blog. – nudge nudge – so he said no… I’ll have a look. Now I wanted him to feel all warm and fuzzy and everything. Anyway 24 hours later I said – so ? did you see the blog. Ha ha he said what’s the address. I CAN’T believe him.

SO if I could take back the BIG LIPS kiss I would. Cos he doesn’t appreciate all the lipstick I wasted on the screen. What do you think?

time zones

are such a funny thing.

I deal every day with people in different time zones, from the measley 1 hour delay to the UK, to the NYC eastern time being 7 hours behind, to Califonia at 9 hours behind, to my sister in New Zealand who is 10 hours ahead.

But the past week has been a revelation to me whilst Ian is in Brisbane OZ. Now it’s not like he doesn’t actually go away often, he’s always away ! but the time difference means I am going to bed when he just wakes up… then there’s a few hours when we are both awake, but there is so much we can say in that time. Then he is off to bed. Man, I miss him.

Working and sleeping with this man for 24 hours on a normal day has been testing at times, but when we are seperated like this it makes me realise how much we actually talk, share and do. I swear he has more words than me on most days and I find it so quiet here without him. Actually dull, dead, totally foreign.

So to you Ian…. I miss you …. and this is just for you….. come back soon

Good morning

As most mothers try to do before a wedding I am on the weight-loss campaign. I have actually been on this mission for years now, sometimes with success and sometimes not.

I am still trying to loose my baby fat…. well mine, as well as the fat I put on when I had my last baby. It isn’t THAT long ago ok. 24 years isn’t that long ago. It does feel like yesterday.

So what do I have to blame. It’s really NOT my fault. It’s things like

can a girl be blamed for giving in?

But this weekend when a good friend ( man) said geez you’re looking good ! keep up on the diet chick ! I think I am tempted this week by

Man but I do love the sweet things and the gooey things…. off to sulk .

what was I doing 10  years ago ?

I had left my finanacial manager position  and opened a computer training school a few years before. We had massive offices and training rooms and I had gotten past the having to do it all, like train and make tea  and wash the dishes whilst the students did their excercises. Ian had already joined SWILKO and we were flying. Someone bought us out and was supposed to pay in installmeents. They put themselves into liquidation the day before they were to pay us ( a LOT of money) I still hate them !

5 things on my to-do list today

buy a baby shower gift for my friends dd that is getting an adopted baby in the nxt 2 weeks - yayay I love little baby clothes and creams and pink !

get rid of visitor #1  and 2

Bring in the biltong that Ian hung before he left and get it frozen.

Try and resist the bread rolls I just bought for the kids when they pick up visitor #1 and #2.

Make the bed.

Gee life is boring !
